Race day medals give you that instant gratification of weight around your neck to signal a day of heavy effort...but after that most of us can get away with maybe wearing them out to dinner that night. Then it's just up to our super toned legs to bring up the fact that we are runners or triathletes....
Unless you've purchased one of these beauties from TriClique!!When I saw these pendants I was amazed and instantly wanted to more about the women who created them!!
How did Meg come up with the idea?
I did "My First Tri" in Florida 2003 and with the help of some dedicated athletes I met along the way, I did my next event in 2005, Columbia Triathlon. I was so proud to be part of a well-known and highly recognized event, I wanted to have something I could wear all the time and remember my achievement. At the expo I noticed there was nothing that fit that description. The medallion was "born" out of that one idea. I was fortunate to have met Crissy who shared a similar passion for life and the sport and I was easily able to convince her to join forces and market the medallion. But we both knew from the beginning that our sport meant more to us than the jewelry...we truly have fun competing and carrying a consistent message to everyone who is just starting out..."It’s all about the joy".
TriClique partnered with Iron Girl in 2008 because we share the same philosophy for women; we both encourage women to dream big and to achieve their goals while having a healthy fun time! Going to all the Iron Girl events and doing the expos gives us a chance to meet many women, most are doing their first triathlon and have a ton of questions. We love helping them out and supporting their efforts.
Our dream is that TriClique jewelry hopefully will reach every corner of the world bringing a sense of accomplishment to all the women, every time they wear it.
Have you ever seen their jewelry or met these lovely ladies at an IronGirl event??? I'm hoping to cross their paths next year now that I seem to be getting sucked in to the triathlon world...really how can a girl live in Miami and not!!
You can buy the pendants online or HINT to a loved one that this should be on your Christmas list or you can get them at many race expos.
